3月から子供新聞を購読してます。
表向きの理由は長女の中学受験の時事問題対策なのですが、
じつはガチ読みしているのは私です。
会社員のときに、私は全く新聞を読まなくて、
世の中にうとく恥ずかしい社会人でした。
時間があれば読むのに！といつもいいわけをしていましたが
仕事を辞めて時間ができたので普通の新聞を読み始めました。
しかし、文字が小さいのと、言葉が難しくて読めないと言う
さらに恥ずかしい事実が判明しました。
そういうわけで、まずはリハビリに子供新聞を読もうときめたのでした。
全く同じことを錦鯉の長谷川さんが言っている記事をみかけて
わかるぅ〜！そうそう！と一人激しく共感しております。
調べたところ、子供新聞は３社（読売、毎日、朝日）ありまして、
私はこちらの記事を参考に「読売KODOMO新聞」（月額850円）にしました。
朝日小学生新聞と毎日小学生新聞は日刊に対し、読売KODOMO新聞は週刊である点が決め手となりました。
日刊だと絶対読みきれず、読まれない新聞がリビングの隅に溜まっていく図がありありと想像できます。
物足りないぐらいがちょうど良いです。
あと、随所に散りばめられている名探偵コナンがいいよね、コナンが。
映画ハロウィンの花嫁もおもしろかったな。（脱線）
ちなみに中学受験生は朝日小学生新聞を選んでいるご家庭が多いようです。
なぜか初回だけ新聞代の集金が、
現金を玄関まで回収にくるスタイル（衝撃）で、
玄関にちっちゃいおばあちゃんがきて
ミステリー&ノスタルジーな気持ちになりました。
子供の時定期的に新聞屋のおじちゃんが新聞代回収しにきてたなぁ・・・
今のところちゃんと毎週読みきれてます。
記事を読みながら、言葉の意味を家族で考えてみたり
おたよりコーナーにハガキで応募してみたり（これは、私じゃないよ）
おしえて！コナン時事ワードだけきりぬいて
トイレにはってみたり（居酒屋のトイレポスターじっくり読んじゃう効果を狙う）
紙の新聞ならではの楽しみ方をしてます。
玄関に毎週新聞届いてるのも新鮮だな〜と感じてます。
本当は記事の書写しとか要約をしたほうがいいのでしょうが、
中学生の時に一生懸命とりくんだ、
天声人語の書写しが全く自分の人生や学力に影響を与えていないので
自分の子供に薦められずにいるのでありました。
そして子供新聞を読み始めて、
ネットニュースを読んでいる時は
自分の好きな分野とかこうあってほしいな、という自分の希望的観測や要望によりそっている記事ばかり読んでいたことに気づきました。
子供新聞は、イチゴの種類とか、飛行機の仕組みとか全く全然自分の興味と関係ない内容をぶっ込んでくるので、強制的に新しい出会いがあるので楽しいです。
大人の新聞でそれができたらいいんでしょうね、でもやっぱり大人の新聞は難しいからしばらく子供新聞でよいです。

I've started reading the children's newspaper (The reader is me.)
I have subscribed to a children's newspaper since this March.

I found out an even more embarrassing fact.
So, I decided to read a children's newspaper for rehabilitation.
Then I came across an article by Mr. Hasegawa of Nishikigoi, who said the same thing.
I get it! Yes, yes! I was so happy to read this article.
I found that there are three children's newspapers (Yomiuri, Mainichi, and Asahi).
I chose "Yomiuri Kodomo Newspaper" (850 yen/month) based on this article.
The deciding factor for me was that the Asahi Shogakusei Shimbun and Mainichi Shogakusei Shimbun are daily while the Yomiuri Kodomo Shimbun is weekly.
With daily newspapers, I can imagine that I would never be able to read all of them, and the unread newspapers would accumulate in the corner of my living room.
It is just right that it is not enough.
Also, Detective Conan scattered throughout the newspaper is great.

I started reading the children's newspaper, so I realized that when I was reading online news, I was only reading articles that were based on my wishful thinking and desires in my favorite field.
